TC-27 Red Lead

Three things, and what they cost.

Ranges, not a form. You should be able to work out roughly where your job lands before you give anybody your phone number.

  1. Interior

    $650 to $1,100 a bedroom · $4,500 to $9,000 a first floor

    Walls, ceilings, trim and doors. Most rooms are two to three days including the prep.

    • Furniture moved and wrapped by us, floors papered daily
    • Fill and sand twice, caulk every joint, spot prime everything bare
    • Two finish coats, ceilings included
    • Switch plates off and back on, room put back before we leave

  2. Exterior

    $9,000 to $16,000 on a typical 2,000 sq ft colonial

    Ten to eighteen days depending on how much scraping the house needs. Booked March to October.

    • Scraped to sound paint and feathered, not skimmed over
    • Rotten trim and sills replaced, priced before we cut
    • Bare wood primed the same day it is exposed
    • EPA lead-safe containment on anything built before 1978
    • Two finish coats, weather permitting rather than weather ignoring

  3. Cabinets

    $4,500 to $9,500 a kitchen · priced per door and drawer front

    Five to seven days. Your kitchen is usable the whole time except the two days the doors are off.

    • Doors and fronts numbered, removed and taken to the shop
    • Degreased, sanded, and sprayed in a booth rather than brushed in your kitchen
    • Boxes done on site behind a sealed dust wall
    • New hinges and hardware fitted if you are changing them

Ranges, not quotes. Ceiling height, how much filling the walls need and whether you are going dark over light all move the number. The estimate is free and it is exact.

What it is like having us in the house.

  1. 01 Eight to four thirty, and we tell you the night before Same two people, the same van, for the whole job. You get a text the evening before each day with who is coming and what they are doing.
